Behind the Scenes at Our Thrift Storehttp://www.ourthriftstore.org/In 2004, Dave & Sandy Krikac were trying to help their daughter Sara find a job. There’s a 70% unemployment rate among special needs young adults in Tennessee. The harder they looked into job opportunities for Sara, who has autism, the more they realized the need for a place where young adults with special needs could be supported in order to be successful in the workplace.After much prayer Dave & Sandy decided to start Our Thrift Store. Our Thrift store takes donations & sells donations in order to provide jobs for over 50 people, 25 of which are special needs. On top of that they provide the local community affordable options for clothing, furniture, housewares, etc.It’s hard to put into words the life changing work that they are doing so I put together this little film to hopefully capture some of the heart & soul of this amazing place…film: samanthabean.commusic: bensound.com
